Programs
Karate: Karate promotes self-discipline within each scholar. It also helps them to develop new physical, mental and emotional life skills. “The ability to channel the discipline of self is the degree in which one may outlast their opponent.”
Arts and Crafts: The Arts & Craft program will consist of hands on projects that will help educate the scholars. We will explore all avenues from color pencils to tissue paper, almost anything that has to do with being creative. We will draw, put together and use our imagination to create projects from scratch. Scholars will learn the difference of the products we use and why they are used.
Basketball Program: Basketball program for aspiring young players. The instructional sessions combine fundamental skills instruction with organized team competition with the goal of providing an enjoyable and educational after school athletic event. Developing players benefit by improving their individual skills such as passing, dribbling, shooting, rebounding, and defending while, at the same time, learning how to work within the framework of a team.
Track Program: Track program encourages scholars to run at their fullest potential, one step and one mile at a time. This research-proven approach emphasizes goal setting, which will help scholars to build a growth mindset—something they can apply to all areas of life. Running or walking together also helps kids develop friendship and empathy as they encourage each other to push further than they thought possible.
Yoga: These classes will include age-appropriate yoga and movement- including breathing, poses, games, stories, music, relaxation and more. Your little yogi will get to practice fine and gross motor skills, social and group skills, and begin to learn breathing/calming tools.
Puzzle Program: Studies show puzzles (yes, puzzles) can actually help combat mental decline, reduce feelings of anxiety and depression, and even support a stronger, healthier brain.
Coding: Building computational thinking in young learners
Chess: Scholars are introduced to lessons each week that includes new strategies and techniques. As part of each class, scholars practice new strategies through partner-play including: Checkmate & Stalemate.
Stem Programing: Creating a natural space to provide engaging, hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) learning.
